Close your eyes again, and this time picture a lawyer (or other professional) at work. So, as a quick example, if you think you've gone on long enough with an answer but aren't sure you've made your point, just sum up with a few words, such as, “That's to say that _.” or “Essentially, what I mean by that is _.” Then, stop.Ħ.

Notice the use of the words short, brief and quick in the above tip. If you feel the need to add another (hopefully short) piece of information to an answer, rather than just barrelling ahead, you can ask if it's ok to give them one more brief example, or add a quick thought. In my experience, lawyers are not known to be great interviewers, but it is their forum.
